Obituary of Wilma Winger
WINGER, Wilma - October 21, 1925 – February 7, 2022
Wilma Winger passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on February 7, 2022 in her 97th year, at Maple Park Lodge, where she resided for nine and half years. She was predeceased by her loving husband Harold.
She will be missed and is survived by two daughters, Charlotte Sider (Doug) and Brenda Hill (Charles), four grandchildren, Douglas (Tonya), Derek (Amber), Dustin (Rachel) and Christina (Nathan), and eight great grandchildren. Predeceased by her brother Murray Winger and sister Ruth Climenhage.
She was born in Stevensville Ontario on October 21, 1925. When Wilma married Harold she moved to their century farm on House Road, where she enjoyed gardening, entertaining and baking fabulous apple pies!
Early in life she completed her teacher training and went on to enjoy a 31 ½ year career as an elementary school teacher. She spent the last 14 years of her career at Ridgeway Public School.
Wilma was a faithful member of the Trinity Life Church, often serving in the Christian Education department.
Due to Covid restrictions, a Private Family Interment will be held at the Bertie Cemetery, and a memorial Celebration of Life will follow later in the spring. Arrangements in the care of Williams Funeral Services, Ridgeway Ontario
