To the Family of Mrs. Winger,
I have never forgotten Mrs. Winger. She was my 1st Grade Teacher at S.S. #10 School on the Garrison Road the first year I moved to Canada. My brother Rick was also in her 3rd Grade. There were three grades in one classroom way back then. Mrs. Winger made me feel extraordinarily special during this year of adjustment. I think I may have been the teachers pet or at least she made me feel that way. As I recall, we were assigned partners for Valentines Day. She was my partner and you probably don't remember Charlotte and Brenda but she had you make me a heart made of cupcakes for this day (most likely one of numerous requests made of you - thank you again). She also took the time from her busy day to come and see my new born baby sister that year. As I reminisce, she was a disciplinarian, my brother will attest to this, and I realize what a treasure she was as an educator. She loved and was loved. I had hoped to extend my appreciation at her 80th birthday celebration but I was the organizer of our church picnic that day and was unable to attend. I would like to convey my sympathy to you with the passing of your dear mother and loved one. Be assured I will keep Mrs. Winger and all of you in my prayers during this time of bereavement as you mourn your loss.
Sincerely,
Michele (Shelley) Plato Tamas

We were never happier than when Wilma and Harold were our next door neighbours, and we were quite sad when they moved. Beautiful people of faith, wit and humour, who lived graciously for God and their neighbours, no matter what their
proximity to them. Blessings of comfort to Charlotte, Brenda, and all the family.

Sincere condolences to Charlotte, Brenda and families. Your mother was a wonderful person and a great cook. Your parents treated me very well when I helped work your farm a few summers back in the day. They were both fine, Godly people, and I have fond memories of those days. Dave Sherk
