My best memories of this illustrious Huffman family are from the 1970's; though I did have the pleasure of working with Richard for a brief time at Fleet Industries, I believe in the late 1980's (after the retirement of "Uncle Bud Huffman"). where we reconnected and shared some laughs over what were then recent occurrences and incidents. I got to know "the kids" mostly during my 3 summers (college days) of employment in the mid-1970's with the Town Roads Department, where immediately I was very capably taken under wing by father Donny (who once played local baseball with my father, Allen "Bus" Tripp) as well as the other notables of that era, and of course our local taverns where lively discussions and occasional games of euchre ensued. This is a shock to me, considering Richard's passing, so I just wanted to convey my heartfelt condolences, with God's blessings of comfort, to June and all the family and close friends. He was truly a man of solid integrity and a sincere pleasure to know. Remember those best of times, until we meet again.
