It is always hard to lose a Burnham cousin. Richard was the classy , quiet one with a mischievous smile. We will all be thinking of Charlotte and girls as they go through the days ahead . The last time I saw Richard was at a Burnham reunion about five years ago. I told him the story of seeing him once when he and his friends had beer and they were not old enough to have it. My father was there as well and I never told him what I saw. Burnham cousins would never tell on each other. When I told him this, he just smiled. Even then he didn’t plead guilty. Rest In Peace, Richard. You will be missed.

Such a great life growing up in Florenceville with 4 brothers. Richard was the one who let me drive his sports car and also sent me the occasional letter of brotherly guidance. We loved to chat about all the wonderful folks in our life during the growing up years.
Miss you and love you. Carolyn

Such fond memories of our time growing up. You taught me well and you will be missed, big brother. By the way - I was the first on the ski hill, too!

So very sorry to hear of Richard's passing and at the same time remembering how much we all enjoyed seeing him at our family reunion in 2018.He was in fine form with broad smiles and dry humour. I reminded him of the drawings he managed to get me to draw for him for the infamous Miss H.,,the teacher whose idea of Art was to say "Draw whatever you like or copy this". He paid me $! per picture. I was not an artist, at all, but neither he nor Miss H seemed to care ! At the reunion he asked me if he still owed me money !
All the cousins admired him and were envious of his good looks and charming ways. It pleased all the aunts and uncles when he met and married the lovely Charlotte. We know that had a good life together with their daughters. We have lost a special cousin.

As one of Richard's "younger" cousins from Florenceville I like to remember him as the handsome, smart, quiet but funny guy who used to be around our farm with his father and of course in our big farm house kitchen from time to time where he was always so well mannered and complimentary towards any home cooking Mom offered up. I remember that all the girls his age had crushes on him. I know his lovely wife and children and especially grandchildren will miss him as will all the rest of our family. Special condolences to Charlotte. May you look to all your wonderful memories for comfort at this difficult time.
