Twining, Danny John It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Danny (Dan) Twining on Dec 10, surrounded by family, after a long battle with cancer, at the age of 68. Predeceased by parents Jake and Ed Twining. Leaving to mourn his longtime girlfriend Shirley Hornich, brothers Greg (Mary Beth) and Tom (Barb), and several nieces and nephews. As a boy in St. John’s, NL Dan had a successful minor hockey career as a goalie. Dan and Shirley enjoyed day-tripping for photography, and trips to Newfoundland. Dan retired after working for Bell for 32 years, and enjoyed photography, travel and gadgets of all types. As per Dan’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Due to Covid restrictions, there will be no visitation or funeral. There will be a family celebration at a later time. We would like to thank the nurses and doctors at the Walker Family Cancer Centre, and the St. Catharine’s General Hospital for their compassionate care and support.
