Obituary of Robert Burger

With heavy hearts, the family announces that Bob passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at the age of 69. Beloved husband of Elaine Burger (Sheehan), and loving father of Stacey Burger (Steve) of St. Catharines, Michelle Burger and Kyle Burger of Ridgeway. Cherished brother of Rick Burger (Dora) of Prince Edward Island and Judy Richardson (Chris) of Ridgeway. Special uncle to Steve, Mike, Brad and Chris. Predeceased by his parents, Edward Burger and Merna Burger. Lovingly remembered by mother-in-law Cecilia Sheehan of St. Catharines and the Sheehan Family. Bob will forever be missed by his extended family members and extraordinary circle of friends. Bob made a positive impact on youth while serving as Executive Director at the Boys and Girls Club of Niagara. It was there that he met his wife. He lived his life to the fullest. Bob cherished his time living on the Burger family farm with his family and dog, Odie. He had a passion for planning trips, and cheering for the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres. Bob had a quick wit, he always tried to help others, and he cherished the small moments in life. His family is so proud of his legacy. Special thanks to Dr. Che and staff at the Douglas Memorial Hospital in Fort Erie, Ontario. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 17 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Williams Funeral Services (722 Ridge Road N., Ridgeway, Ontario). At Bob's request, a private memorial service will be held on Monday, December 18th. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Boy’s and Girl’s Club of Niagara in Bob’s honour. A scholarship fund will established to help youth with post secondary education.
