It is with profound sadness to hear of Bob's passing. Bob had such an impact on our lives growing up at the Boy's and Girl's Club. He genuinely cared about everyone at the Club, whether you were a kid, volunteer, staff, or parent, Bob made everyone feel truly special. He knew everyone by name and was never behind an office door, but, was always where the kids were. For both of us growing up at the Club, then, later becoming summer staff, it was because of you Bob and your staff, who to this day, have instilled our most cherished and treasured memories. We will miss you Bob, your memorable laugh and that twinkle in your eye. Our yearly Boys' and Girls' Club get together will not be the same without you. To Elaine and your beautiful family, we are so very sorry for your loss. May you find peace knowing how much you were loved and how much Bob was loved by many.

I will always remember Bob for his kind and caring ways with everyone he encountered in his life. He was a great role model for the kids at the Boys' and Girls' club, and a supportive and compassionate boss. Bob was a wonderful friend to all of us. We will all miss him.

Almost 40 years ago, I worked with Bob at the Boys & Girls Club of Niagara. I found Bob to be an inspiring leader whose genuine compassion for others permeated everything he did....and then along came the sunshine named Elaine and an indomitable partnership was sealed!
Lives touched are endless....Rest in Peace Bob.
Fondly remembered by Rosetta ( Garritano)

For the Boys' & Girls' Club staff of the 70's & 80's you were our leader, our conscience, our heart and soul. Most important, you were our big brother - you were always there for us, you had our back. We were proud of the welcoming environment you encouraged us to create a nd the lifelong friend you became. I could spend all day talking about your unmatched sense of humour. The Boys' & Girls' Club members and their parents will fondly remember your many acts of kindness and compassion. Elaine and your three wonderful children have countless precious memories of you that will sustain them in the years to come. Simply the best. Your friend Gary Monteleone.

My heart goes out to all the family as we mourn the loss of Bobby. Wonderful memories on the farm running around the yard before the weekly Sunday meal at Grandma's and Grandpa's come to mind as I remember Bobby and all the fun we had as kids. The years go by and we don't see each other that much but the bond of my childhood memories makes it seem like yesterday, before the years take their toll and age slows us down.
My prayers for Elaine and the children as they begin their journey without him. May the Lord walk with you each day as you journey ahead and may he continue to hold Bob in the palm of his hand.

I was in my early teens when I met Bob. At that time Bob was the director of the Boys and Girls Club. The club was a home way from home for me. All the staff at the time made the club a very special place for so many kids. It was not uncommon to see Bob in the gym from time to time shooting hoops with a few kids or hanging out in the teen room talking. I am very thankful for the wonderful experiences Bob was instrumental in providing me at the club. Thank you, Bob, for all your hard work. Thank you for providing a safe place to grow up and to have some amazing experiences. You will be missed.

His eyes with an impish twinkle; his passion for basketball (especially NCAA); his infectious ‘ssssss’ laugh; his positivity no matter the circumstance; his ability to give and take a joke; are just some of what made Bob Burger (aka Big Guy) the extraordinary man and friend he was to so many.
Disneyland has the reputation as the happiest place on earth, but during the 1980s when he was heading the Boys and Girls Club of Niagara, there was a contender for that title. Every kid at the Club knew Bob and he made sure that every dollar was spent on giving them an unforgettable experience. His staff loved and respected him and still do.
Bob loved his family and his face would light up talking about Elaine, Stacey, Michelle and Kyle; sister Judy and brother Rick.
We have no doubt that his greatest regret will have been not having more time to spend with you, laughing and enjoying each other’s company.
We will miss you Bob, and feel so very fortunate to have shared such beautiful memories with you. Thank you for being our friend.
RIP dear one!
