Miss House was librarian at Battle of Ridgeway public school when I was a girl. I remember her as a very kind lady who really touched anyone who had the profound privilege of being her student. We have lost an excellent educator and a better person. You will be missed by all who knew you.

I fondly remember Miss House and her time at Battle of Ridgeway School. I ran into her recently and she knew me like she saw me yesterday. I think she could recall something about all of her students. She will be sadly missed.

Carol House, Miss House, was hands down,my best teacher at PS#13 Bertie School, the old one room stone school across from Cherry Hill Golf Club. She was my neighbour, my teacher, my friend, my mentor and as I grew, my role model. She never quit. She never quit learning, she never quit laughing, she never quit living a full and happy life. Carol came to be cherished as an "honorary" aunt for us, my brothers and sisters, nephews and nieces. I always visited her whenever I came home to catch up on all the local news and events. I am sad to think that there will no longer be a House family member on the House Road. If and when I find the "Sweet Bye and Bye", I know Carol will be there, playing a really fine piano and welcoming me with a cup of tea, a story and a good laugh.
