Obituary of Steven Roberts

ROBERTS, Steven – Passed away peacefully with family by his side on Friday October 16, 2015 at the age of 62. Beloved husband of Nancy for 39 years. Dear father of Matt (Rachel) and Miranda (Keith) Towsley. Cherished Papa of Lucas, Bennett and Nathan. Loving son of Horace and Ethel Roberts. Brother of Wendy (Douglas) Burden and Cathy Mercer. Brother-in-law of Linda (Larry) Steckley and David Mercer. Survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Steven was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and was waiting for the Leafs to win the Stanley Cup. Special thanks are extended to the nurses in Palliative Care at Douglas Memorial Hospital and to Dr. Gleeson. Williams Funeral Services 722 Ridge Rd. North, Ridgeway are entrusted with arrangements. A funeral service in celebration of Steven’s life will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday October 20th at 1pm. A light reception will follow and then a private family interment will take place at Bertie Brethren In Christ Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army or for Brain Cancer Research.
