ARTHUR W. HEISE
APRIL 9, 1922 – JUNE 16, 2015
Reverend Arthur William Heise peacefully went to his Heavenly Home Tuesday June 16, 2015, at the age of 93 following a short illness in St.Catharines hospital. Son of the late William and Ida Heise of Gormley ON.; cherished brother of sisters Luella Lofthouse and Marjorie Heise, Stouffville; and deceased brothers Milton, Edgar, Orville, Paul and Carl.
Beloved husband of Shirley (Alguire) Heise and the late Verna (Climenhaga) Heise. Dear father of Evan Heise (Florence), Beverley Cober (Keith).
Loving grandfather of Ben, Noah, Dan, Autumn, Vincent, Victoria, Jeniffer, Timoni, Jerrom, and Alak. Great grandfather of Karsten, Reid, Omotesa and Israel.
Arthur attended Ontario Bible College, Niagara Christian College and obtained his B.A. at Upland College, California.
Called of God, he began serving as Pastor under the Brethren In Christ denomination in northern S.K., Walsingham and Concord ON., Kindersley, SK., Boyle, and Bertie, Stevensville ON.
Arthur was known for helping start Children’s Church-based summer camps first in northern SK and then in northern ON. The Ontario Camp is still functioning as Camp Kahquah in Magnetawan.
Arthur is fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Williams Funeral Services, 722 Ridge Rd. Ridgeway entrusted with arrangements. Family will receive visitors on Monday June 22, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.
A service to celebrate the life of the late Arthur Heise will be conducted at Riverside Community Church, Fort Erie, on Tuesday June 23, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastors Jay Stewart and Leonard Chester officiating, followed by refreshments.
The burial will precede the funeral at Bertie BIC Cemetery, Stevensville at 9:30 a.m.
