Keller, Elizabeth – Peacefully in Fort Erie on Sunday December 4th, 2022.

 


Elizabeth “Betty” Ann Keller of Fort Erie Ontario, passed away peacefully at Douglas Memorial Hospital on Sunday December 4, 2022 in her 91st year.

 

beloved wife of the late Bruce Keller and loving mother of the late Darlene (husband Joe Fleming), Darrell Keller and Warren Keller (Louha Magela) and long- time special friend, Don Mark. Cherished grandmother of Chris (Darrell Keller), Jeremy, Jewel, Jason (Warren Keller), Kaitlyn (Joe & Darlene), Maddison (Darrell Keller), and Robert (Joe & Darlene). Loving great grandmother of Evangeline and Camille, (Jewel & Ben), Holden and Mila (Chris Keller), Rowan and Rhett (Robert & Melissa) and Elwood (Jewel & Ben Weeks). Predeceased by loving parents Paul and Mary Paksi, brothers John Paksi, Paul Paksi and sisters Ann Samenook and Mary Flemming.


Born in Estevan, Saskatchewan on Monday, April 25th, 1932, Betty moved from Estevan to Niagara Falls in her young adulthood eventually settling in Toronto where she and her husband (Bruce) raised their three children and eventually built a house and moved to Fort Erie in the early 1970's.


Betty worked at several jobs while starting a new life in Fort Erie with her family including Crescent Park Variety, Loblaws, and Sears Canada. She was also a dedicated life-time member and past president of the ladies auxiliary at Douglas Memorial Hospital and a member of the Red Hat Society. Betty is also a long-time member of Trinity Life Church (formally Brethren in Christ) in Sherkston and was an active member of the choir.


Betty will be remembered for her hard work, dedication, love for others, and sense of humor. To all those that knew her, she brought blessings through her dedication, wisdom, deep friendships and her trust in her lord and savior, Jesus Christ where she now rests in God's loving arms.


Special thanks to Dr. Scher and the warm and friendly staff at Garrison Place, Fort Erie and all the caring nurses at Douglas Memorial Hospital.


Williams Funeral Services, 722 Ridge Rd, Ridgeway entrusted with funeral arrangements. Visitation will be held from 6 - 8pm on Thursday December 8th. In memory, services/celebration of life to be held on Friday December 9th at 11am at Trinity Life Church, Sherkston 5348 Sherkston Rd, followed by a reception at the church. Interment, Pleasantview Memorial  Cemetery, Fonthill afterwards.
