Obituary of Jean Mary Pennanen
Jean Mary Pennanen, age 95, of Ridgeway, Ontario, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2024 in the Niagara Falls General Hospital.
Jean, the wife of the late Elmer Uno Pennanen was born in Welland on September 23, 1929.
Jean is survived by her loving children Heather (Bryan deceased), Lawrence, Brian Pennanen (Sherri), Valerie Whillier (Jim) and Lisa Pennanen. Proud grandma to Erin McIlroy (Greg), Dana Pecaski (Anthony), Allison Gallant (Luc), Brier Bailey (Kevin), Amie DeFilippo (Paul), Taylor Forbes (Samantha), Nathan MacInnis (Jordan), Owen MacInnis and many Great Grandchildren.
Jean was one of 8 children of Kathleen and William Boag White. Her family includes siblings Ann Leishman, Sheila Matthews, Alice Kennedy, Pearl James, Evelyn Walker (deceased), Bruce White (deceased), Lois Sibbald (deceased) as well as many nieces and nephews.
Jean’s passions next to raising 5 children were sewing, knitting, making Finnish Pulla, playing tennis and hosting the annual Koabel Road Kraft Show.
Williams Funeral Services, 722 Ridge Rd. N. Ridgeway entrusted with arrangements. Family and friends will visit at the funeral home on Tuesday November 26th from 6-8 p.m. Visitation will continue at Trinity Life Church 5348 Sherkston Rd. on Wednesday from 10 am until the time of service at 11. Luncheon will follow.
Memorial donations to the church or the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
