Christopher Steven Shepler

1967-2024

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Chris on July 3rd, 2024. He will be sadly missed by his son Christopher (Jennah) and his best friend Tammy Canaski. Lovingly remembered by his sister Karen (Dave) Hilston and nephews Brandon (Casie), Ty and his Uncles Ray and Carl Shepler. He had a special bond with his cousin Laurie Leishman-Heim. Chris was predeceased by his parents Warren (2012) and Donna (2010) Shepler. He will also be missed by his aunts, uncles, and many cousins.

Known as Shep at the Fort Erie Racetrack, he had a passion for thoroughbreds and was most at home with the horses. He made many friends over the years as a groomer, valet and trainer/owner. An avid sports fan he loved the Buffalo Sabres and never missed cheering on the Buffalo Bills. GO BILLS!

The family would like to thank all the people who helped him these past 2 years. The Fort Erie Native Friendship Centre, especially the LLC team, Kevin Wallace at Bridges Community Health Centre, the transplant team, and doctors and nurses at University Hospital in London.

Chris was known for his sense of humour, dancing, his love for karaoke and his smile would light up a room. He would love everyone to gather with his family at the Fort Erie Native Friendship on Saturday, July 13th from 1:00-4:00. A light lunch will be served. Wear your Buffalo Bills or Sabres gear in his honour
