Chris and I were partners in woodworking class in highschool, Mr. Stead's class. We would always look forward to seeing each other after the Sabres won the night before, we would fist pump each other from a distance and he would have a huge smile. We would talk hockey and different plays that were made the night before, and before we knew it class was almost over for that day. I've always tried to reach out to Chris once FB started and ended up friending his son not knowing it wasn't him, I would say "remember this" or "remember that" and Chris Jr. Would say I have no idea what you're talking about, this is I'm Chris's son... Had to laugh, asked him to pass along my best but never really got together ever again. Shep will always have a special place in my heart, RIP my old friend.... I miss our youth

So very sorry to hear of Chris's passing. My deepest condolences to all of his family and loved ones. Chris always had a bright smile and a friendly word with me when he stopped into the store, he was a sweet guy.
