Obituary of Klaus Wolfgang Lachnitt

It is with great sadness we announce the death of Klaus, 85 of Ridgeway who died on Sunday February 25, 2024.

Klaus was born in Germany on June 24, 1938 and arrived in Canada May of 1959 as a skilled and talented carpenter by trade and later self employed as owner of K. Lachnitt Construction Ltd.

Survived by his loving wife Margrith of 59 years.  Proud father of Catherine (Mark) Long, Christine (Ken) Griem, Klaus (late Jasmine) Lachnitt and adoring grandfather of; Elizabeth, Melissa, Mark, David (Anne), Derek, Amy, Kaden and Violet, as well as five great grandchildren. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews.  Klaus will also be missed by Erika McCarthy (late Joe)  and numerous extended family from Switzerland and Florida.

Family was most important to him as he felt blessed to share many memorable moments enjoying traditions, meals and laughs.
