Obituary of Gloria Christina Brennan

Brennan, Gloria Christina (nee Pearson) passed away at the Welland Hospital on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at the age of 93.

Beloved wife of the late Fraser Brennan (2016) for 67 wonderful years. It brings us comfort knowing they are finally reunited. She will be dearly missed by her daughter Sheri-Anne Buote and Tammy Baker.

She is survived by brother-in-law Royal ‘Skip’ Brennan (Julie) of St. Catharines and sister-in-laws Sylvia (late Joe) Yochim of Ajax and Carole Ah Yat (late Herman) of Honolulu, Hawaii. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Howard and Ella (Noyes) Pearson and father-in-law and mother-in-law Albert ‘Ted’ and Maude Brennan and brother-in-laws John (Betty) Brennan,  Kenneth Brennan (Violet) and Harry Brennan (Lois).

Gloria was a retired Life Insurance Officer from the Western NY Savings Bank, Buffalo NY after 22 years of service.

She and Fraser spent 19 winters at their home in sunny Fort Myers, FL., where they made many lifetime friends. Gloria was a member of the Siesta Bay Singers and participated in their Showtime every winter.

Gloria was an ardent ice skater and a member for many years of the St. Catharines Skating Club, that skated at the Ridley College arena.

She was a lifelong member of the United Church of Canada, spending many years at People’s Memorial Church, Ridgeway and Sherkston United Church. Gloria was the treasurer for 14 years and served on many committees.

Williams Funeral Services, 722 Ridge Rd., N., Ridgeway entrusted with arrangements. Respecting Gloria’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Funeral Service will be held at Sherkston United Church, 5244 ON 3, Sherkston ON, on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Ridgeway Memorial Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Sherkston United Church, or a charity of your choice, would be appreciated by the family.
