Obituary of Albert James Opatovsky
OPATOVSKY, Albert James, beloved son of Margaret and the late Albert Joseph Opatovsky, dear brother of Keith (Teresa), and proud father of Albert Joshua (A.J.), died February 9, 2024.
Together with his friends and large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins, we mourn the loss of his big personality, quick wit, and infectious laugh. He could light up a room with his megawatt smile.
Born February 16, 1980, Albert was a graduate of Brock University and worked with his dad at Investors Group until a serious health condition curtailed his career. For several years, he coped with his disability (mostly) without complaint.
Those who knew Albert well, know that despite a sometimes mercurial nature, he had a sensitive soul and a soft heart. He certainly wrestled with his own demons and could relate to and support others facing similar challenges. He deeply loved his son A.J. and always encouraged him to be the best he could be in everything he undertook. A.J. will continue to keep that encouragement as a guiding principle as he moves forward in his life.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Albert's life is being planned for a date in the spring. If desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
Arrangements entrusted to Williams Funeral Services, Ridgeway, Ontario.
