Obituary of Charles Ernest Collison
We are saddened to announce the passing of Charles (Red) Ernest Collison at Royal Rose Place in Welland, ON on January 6th, 2024. He was born on March 3rd, 1933 in Niagara Falls, ON to Charles and Helena Collison. He is survived by his daughter Brenda (Jochem), daughter-in-law Jennifer, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife Verna, daughter Laura, son David, sisters' Marjorie, June, Doreen, and brothers Howard and James.
Charles worked at Cherry Hill Golf Club from 1949 - 1993 doing maintenance and fireworks. He volunteered with the Fort Erie Fire Department Station #5 and served as their treasurer. He was a hard working man who provided for this family. Spare time was used to tinker with anything mechanical. In his 30's he built a kit car, in his 40's a road worthy trike and later even a church steeple. It is now time to rest from your labours, you are now home with your Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Our sincere thanks to the caring staff at Redstack Retirement Home and Royal Rose Place for their outstanding care of Charles in his senior years.
