A few memories that come to mind:: in January, maybe 1969,there was an ice storm in Kingston and Jeannine and I were able to skate all the way downtown in our rubber boots. We ended up at a restaurant sharing a cup of tea. One summer, it was blisteringly hot and the lake was polluted-so we decided to swim in every apartment outdoor pool we could find. We climbed the fences and dove into the pools in our clothes! We had so many adventures, some scary, all memorable, all led by Jeannine’s infectious, unforgettable laugh. She could heal any hurt with that laugh, along with her always practical, generous wisdom. Her love for her family, Jack, Siscoe, Jonathan and Mary, Kathleen, Marie and Oliver, was epic and eternal. Beautiful Jeannine, I will miss you terribly but your spirit will always be with me, and anyone lucky enough to know you.
