Edith "Kris" Haun Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce Edith “Kris” Haun has passed away, peacefully, at her much-loved home, Garrison Place, (November 16th, 2023), at the age of 92.

Kris was a devoted wife, of 56 years to the late Osborne “Ozzie” Haun, as well as the proud mother of Cheryl (Kevin) Booth and Linell (Gord) Redmond.  She was a loving grandmother to Tonya Opatovsky (Darren Vanverlee), Joshua (Ajeng) Opatovsky, Jamye “Lee” (Chris) Harasty, Caitlin Redmond, and Kyle Redmond. She was also an adoring Great-Grandma to William, Isaiah, Kaysia, Raziel, Zoey and Tyler and a cherished Aunt to all her Christensen and Haun extended nieces and nephews.

Kris was predeceased by her dear parents Ejner and Elsie Christensen, her beloved younger brother Chris Christensen, and her precious great-grandson Andrew Noah.

It is noteworthy to highlight that Kris’ earthly treasures were her many friends and all her close and extended family, who filled her life with purpose and joy.

The Family would like to extend special thanks to the devoted staff of Bridges Community Health Centre, and to the dedicated and loving staff at Garrison Place who assured her care when coming back to her home.
