Harold Fyke

Obituary of Harold Lenard Fyke

It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we say goodbye to Harold Lenard George Fyke on October 9th, 2023 in his 91st year. We find comfort in knowing that our loving father is reunited with his dearest wife Elizabeth of 65 years. Harold was a devoted and loving father to David (Sue) Fyke, Deborah (Alain) Longval, Joice Fyke, Lenard (Maureen) Fyke, and Larry Fyke. He was blessed with eleven grandchildren; Nicholas (Penny) Longval, Kristal (Mark) Fazekas, Davis, Alexis, Harrison, Aryn, Ayla, Dyson, Lauren (Craig) Embro, Matthew and Tara. Harold was doubly blessed with seven great grandchildren; Jaiden, Paige, Easton, Chase, Remington, Maksim and Leia. Uncle Harold will be greatly missed by the many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Harold was born in Midland, Ontario and raised in Port Colborne, Ontario. He was a great inspiration and friend to those who had the pleasure of meeting or working with him. Harold served in the Royal Canadian Navy for 5 years, he was a conscientious millwright at Fleet Industries in Fort Erie for 26 years and volunteered as a Scout Leader for many years. He was an active member at the Beachcombers and a longtime parishioner at All Saints Anglican Church.

Loving thanks to Aunt Martha, Linda and Susan for making a special trip to visit and reminisce with dad about his years in Nova Scotia with mom. Harold and his family are tremendously grateful for the kindness, care, and support provided by Dr Che, Dr Scher, the nurses and staff at Douglas Memorial Hospital, and our family and friends.
