Obituary of Shari Lynn Harper

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Shari Harper after a long, hard fought battle. She passed peacefully, holding the hand of the love of her life. 

She will be forever missed by her soulmate and partner, Gord Barker and his children Matthew and Kasey Barker. She was a proud Mother to her sons Maxwell Gardiner and Lucas Gardiner. Missed terribly by her Father Robert Harper and Mother Joyce (predeceased), sisters Tracey Marchese (Claudio), Suzanne Dzuima (Robert), brother Rob Harper, neices and nephews Sebastiano, Benjamin, Alec, Ian, John, A.J., Hailey and Marais and her friends she considered sisters, Kerri Reeve, Deanna Watson, Colleen Montieth and Julie Conn.

Shari was the embodiment of kindness and optimism. She forgave the unforgivable and saw only the good in people. Shari's love of life was contagious, from her love of camping and being in nature, to live music and especially travel. She lived her life fearlessly. She was everything that is good in the world and that is how she will be remembered by all who had the honour of knowing her.

A Celebration of Life has been planned for Sunday October 22nd from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at The Sanctuary in Ridgeway. In memory of Shari, in leiu of flowers those who wish may donate to  the Go Girls Program offered by the Big Brothers Big Sisters Niagara,
