With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our Wife Mother and Grandmother Bernice I. McLean on August 26, 2023 at her home in Stevensville, Ontario.

Loving wife of 57 years to Ron.  Cherished mother of Laurie (Bill) Blackmore, Denise McLean and Scott McLean.  She adored her grandchildren Holly, Hailey, Tara, Phillip and Madison.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews including Susan (Brian) House.  Predeceased by her sisters Francis and Kathleen.

Bernice’s kind and nurturing nature was on full display to the many students who she taught at St. Stephen Primary School during her career as a teacher.  Ron and Bernice dedicated countless hours to the Stephenville community in particular St. Stephen’s Parish, the foodbank and Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital.  Her talent as a seamstress allowed many to look their best while doing their best. 

A special thank you to the wonderful personal support workers of Paramed and Bayshore who took such great care of Bernice in her last few years.

We will celebrate Bernice’s life at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Stevensville, Ontario on Friday September 1^st at 11 am.
