Obituary of Margaret Kassay

We are saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Margaret (Peggy) Ann Kassay(Doan).  Peggy, born in Essex, Ontario,  at  age 87,  joined her beloved husband, Paul Kassay, on June 16, 2023.  Peggy is survived by her three children, Debra Ann Kassay, Paula Irene Kassay and Christopher Kassay along with his wife Adriana.  Peggy will be missed by her two grandsons Justin Sherk and Adam Sherk and  three great grandchildren Austin, Abigail and Brooke Sherk. Peggy was well known for her many years of service as the smiling face at CherryHill Golf Club and previously the Fort Erie Library system. Many will miss her wit, humour and endless smiles.

A special thanks to caring staff at Gilmore Lodge and dear friend, Maureen Opatovsky, who made sure Peggy was cared for with love, dignity and respect. 

Cremation will take place and a time of visitation will be held at Williams Funeral Services, Ridgeway ON, on Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 11 AM - 12 PM. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel at 12:00 PM.
