May all your wonderful memories bring smiles and laughter to you when you think of your mom and Judy. Just as they do for us when we think of Manitoulin Island and birthday parties.

I am saddened to read about Mrs. Rigsby's passing. I can still picture her walking in the halls of FESS and greeting students happily as she always did. I shared many laughs, collaborative student opportunities and of course sincere moments of support with her throughout my high school years. She will be missed. I wish her family support and comfort during this time. - Alexis

I will always remember Mrs. Rigsby as an amazing and wonderful coach and teacher at Fort Erie high School , She always guided you to “ do your best “ and she always seemed such a “ cool “ teacher back in the day. I was beyond sad to hear of her passing. I am so sorry to all her family , she was a blessing to her students ! I will be out of town and miss the service , which I apologize , all on my thoughts and prayers.

We have lots of wonderful memories of fun times with Judy and Terry! She had a great sense of humour and was very compassionate and caring too. She was a real competitor and strategist at cribbage and Wizard games! She was always up for a boating excursion or for kayaking at the cottage. We will miss her smile and laugh sitting together on middle earth, but know her love and spirit will be there..May she be filled with joy now in God’s presence,!
Love and prayers, Claire and Tijs

I have known Judy for the last twenty years and am so grateful to have been a small part in her adventurous, happy life. She was a loyal supporter and kind confidante in uncountable ways; never without a smile and always with a word of praise or encouragement. She has left a mark on my heart that I will always hold near and dear.
I send my deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to Terry and all of the family. I am so very sorry for your loss.

I, too was lucky enough to have been taught by Judy at Fort Erie Secondary School. I was also one of the lucky ones to receive the benefits of all the extra hours she gave to those after school as a coach and staff advisor. Judy cared for her students and always gave them her best. She always took the time to stop and catch up with me whenever we ran into one another in town and she will be missed.....another one gone too soon. May she Rest in Peace.

My sincere condolences to all of Judy’s family. As Khloe and Conner’s other grandma, I express gratitude to Grandma Judy. She and Terry, not only tutored the grandchildren while they attended school virtually, they instilled a love to read, that continues. Judy’s patience and tenacity continues through Kristi as she cares for her family. Judy’s legacies continue.

Judy Slater was my best friend in high school - the kind of friend everyone should have: smart, funny, calm, sympathetic, strong. And a great travelling companion. Her brave father once lent us his car for a trip to Cape Breton, only insisting that we drive the Island from west to east to avoid being in a cliff edge lane. An amused National Park employee watched as the crazy Upper Canadians got a few feet into the September ocean. Did I mention she was determined? While Judy leaves behind a big hole in the daily lives of her family, eventually we should all remember as Seneca wrote: "...we must not suffer to fall out of our minds the joy that we have had from them...What we have may be snatched from us. But what we have had is ours forever." Katherine McGuire
