Jackie was truly one of the most genuinely kind hearted ladies I have had the privilege of knowing. As a new heap professional at CHC Jackie and Doug were always willing to assist me and my family navigate my way through those early years at CHC. I will always have fond memories of their kindness and the example they set. My sincere condolences at this time. I can only image the reunion taking place as Jackie can now fill out the foursome in Heaven of the “Hickory Shaft” tournament once again.

My wife Nancy and I have many wonderful memories of Jackie and Doug. A welcoming and fun couple who loved family, friends and golf. We had so many good times with them both wherever we were, at their home, at the Club, out for dinner or on vacation. She had a kind spirit and a good ear for listening. She always provided sound advice. She was a great role model for all of us. We loved her and will certainly miss her but will never forget her.

For all those years that I knew Jackie, while I was a library staff member, I never knew that she had been a Girl Guide leader. She always had kind things to say when she spoke of my daughter, who worked at Cherryhill when she was a university student. Occasionally, I would run into her at the market after they moved to Port Colborne, and she would always remember me. My sympathies to all of her family. She will be missed.
