Obituary of Nancy Louise Elliott

Nancy Elliott (nee Alexander)

It is with a heavy heart that the family of Nancy would like to announce her passing on Tuesday, January 24^th, 2023, in her 93^rd year. Predeceased by her dear husbands James Stratton and John Elliott and by her two sisters Margaret Creery and Betty Napier. Nancy was a devoted mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by her son James Stratton (II) and her granddaughters Chelsea and Michela Stratton. She is survived by her beloved Stratton family including many nieces and nephews. She will forever be remembered as Diddie by her cherished sister Judy Farrar and the rest of her Virginian family who were always on her mind and in her heart.

Nancy was a true southern belle who loved to sing and dance. She will be remembered for her brilliant sense of humour, her firecracker personality, and for the ability to light up every room she walked in. Nancy lived a long, joy filled life and her legacy is one of profound love and laughter.

Arrangements for cremation are in place and a memorial service for close family and friends will take place on a later date. As wished, Nancy will be placed at Niagara Lake Shore Cemetery  next to her predeceased husband and best friend John Elliott. It brings her family great peace and comfort to know she will be reunited with her dear sisters Margrett and Betty, and that she and John can dance together again.
