To Heidi and Family, Please accept my deepest condolences. I played baseball with Matt on the Welland Legends. We were always glad to see him and welcomed him whenever he could make it. We understood his commitment to family and his passion for baseball. We know he's now probably pitching for the Angels. "Strike 'em out for the boys, Matt". Miss you. Al Maddalena

So sad to hear the passing of Matt, enjoyed his competitiveness on the baseball field. A good role model for his young family & wife. Matt may be gone but never forgotten. RIP Matt.

The day we met Matt and Heidi they had travelled for hours to pick up our "Bigga Boy" their Tater. Our hearts go out to Heidi, the kids and Tater. We cried when Bigga boy left but, were consoled by the fact he was going to a great family as "Tater" representing Matt's love for baseball. The only consolation we have is that Tater showed Matt lots of love and created happiness he truly deserved. Respects to all he has left behind. We'll see you up there at the baseball diamond next to the dog park later. Love, Christopher, Deborah, Taters mother Molly and sister Maggie XXXX
