To Mike, Jenn and Kevin, I was shocked to read Joan’s obituary on Facebook. I have so many good memories of her during our kids school years. We had such fun being on the parent committee, doing fundraisers and lunches. She taught me how to do basket weaving and Christmas stars. She was so creative. Our hearts go out to you and your family. The Beaven family.

Cousin Joan Stoll and I mirrored each other’s interests, both nurses, both working in surgery. We both adored gardens and herbs and beautiful memories of our parents and grandparents Mennonite upbringing. We reconnected about 10 years ago and have been chatting frequently ever since. We shared our vacation homes and shared some special encounters including Joan and Mike and the family vacationing in Northern Michigan enjoying rivers, Lake Michigan and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park. Memories to cherish. Condolences to Mike and family. May you find joy in your memories. She left us with so many.
