Obituary of Marilyn Blazevic

Marilyn Ann Blazevic passed away on July 29, 2022 at Trafalgar Oakville Hospital at the age of 65. Loving mother to Michael Anthony, Kristofer Blazevic and Stefani Blazevic. Survived by Jozo Blazevic (husband), Susan Kosmala (sister) and Nicola Kosmala (niece). Predeceased by her parents Kazimierz and Dorothy Kosmala and brother Michael Kosmala.

Marilyn was born in Burnley, England, named after none other than Marilyn Monroe, and came to Canada with her family when she was 16. At a young age she asked her Mother to take elocution classes and she was always fascinated by English Renaissance which was evident in her love and collection of antiques. She passed this appreciation to her children. She furthered her education and began law classes however she quickly began a family. After working for a law firm, she then went on to work for the Ministry of Finance where she contributed over 32 years of her career as a Senior Field Investigator until she retired. Not only was she able to contribute and have a career, she also managed being a central figure to her three children and stopped at nothing to give them a full life. Marilyn was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. Marilyn will be lovingly remembered and truly missed by many friends and family. Her laugh, sense of humour and love for her family will never be forgotten. No matter how sick she was, she was determined to fight. When anyone else would have broken, Marilyn stayed strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance look like. She will never be forgotten and her legacy will continue. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Friday August 12, 2022 at 1 PM at Williams Funeral Services, 722 Ridge Rd N, Ridgeway. With visitation to commence 1 hour prior. Memorial donations may be made to Princess Margaret Cancer Hospital.
