Obituary of Wayne Bryson Eggleton

Sadly we announce the sudden death of Wayne Eggleton at the age of 67 on July 14, 2022. Lovingly missed by Mom, Helen Eggleton, sister and brother-in-law Judy Eggleton and Frank Konings, Nephew Zac Konings and Meg. Predeceased by Dad, Mort Eggleton and Wayne’s life partner Sandra Highfield. Wayne will be sadly missed by Sandra’s brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews. Wayne spent his life working with construction equipment in many different forms with different construction companies; many of those years with Walker Industries, retiring from Ridgemont Quarries. Wayne enjoyed attending car shows with his T-Bucket as well as spending time in his yard, caring for and feeding the many wildlife and birds there. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation for Wayne at Williams Funeral Services (722 Ridge Rd N, Ridgeway 905 894 1161), on July 22 2022 from 2-4 and 7-9. A graveside service will take place Saturday July 23, 2022 at 11 AM at Ridgeway Memorial Cemetery. Our sincere thanks go out to Dr. Scher and all the caregivers and staff who cared for Wayne both at Welland hospital and Douglas Memorial during his brief journey with A.L.S. Memorial donations may be made to Douglas Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Palliative or to the Canadian Wildlife Federation.
