Obituary of Jerry John Demooy

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jerry Demooy, at the age of 72, with his loving family at his side at the St. Catharines General Hospital. Jerry is survived by his dedicated wife Margaret and their children Chris Demooy (Tatum) and Shelley Cooper (Ken). Cherished brother of Johanna Noordhoek, Anne Boers (Henk), Irene Vankralingen (Allert), Coby Cooke (Jerry), Kees Demooy (Karen) and sister-in-law Grace. Adored Opa to Damian, Austin (Kelly) and Kiera. Forever loved by his great grandson Mason. He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Jerry will be re-united with his parents Jacob and Irene Demooy, sister Meta (Pete), his mother and father-in-law Mellina and Arbrect along with his brothers in law Arie and Bob. A special heartfelt thank you to all the nurses in the intensive care unit at the St. Catharines General Hospital, who took such loving care of Jerry during his time with them. We will be forever grateful for all that you have done.  

Cremation has taken place. The family would like to welcome all family and friends to a celebration of life on Friday November 5^th, 2021 from 12-1pm at the Faith Reformed Church, located at 3605 Black Creek Road, Stevensville. A service to follow at 1pm. As per COVID requirements, masks and social distancing are mandatory. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Diabetes Canada.
