Vincent Woodcox

Obituary of Vincent Edward Woodcox

It is with heavy hearts and a deep sadness that we announce the passing of Vince on Sunday May 9, 2021 at the age of 63. He fought cancer right to the very end and won when God called him home. He never complained. He accepted the challenge that was thrown at him. If you asked him how he was, he would say, I’m good even if he really wasn’t. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, best friend and soulmate Cheryl.

They renewed their wedding vows 2 weeks ago, which just fell short of 42 years.

He will be sadly missed by Shilo and Shadow.

Loving father of Michael and Derek ( Andria) his sister Leona and brother in law Kevin Kendrick. Predeceased by his parents Ed and Elma Woodcox.

Vince worked at Rich’s for 43 years. He will be loved and missed. He was a millwright and there wasn’t anything he couldn’t do. He built the Vince-O-Matic, conveyors, weigh pack machine and so many other things. He loved working with hands in the garage with his tools.

You never knew what was going to build.

A barbeque that looked like a car engine on a stand or even a school bus for Cheryl.  He loved his family, friends, camping and life.

The family would lie to thank Dr. Lae and the staff at the Walker Family Cancer Clinic, his nurses Alex, Barb, and Robbin, Dr. Che and Dr. Scher. His extended family from Rich’s for visits, calls or texts to his P.S. W. Maggie Donnie from I.D.A. and the staff, Pastor Jeff and his church family for prayers and encouragements, his friends Danny, Randy, Doug, Debbie and many others. Due to Covid  19 restrictions a church service and celebration of life will be held when possible. In lieu of flowers, donations in Vince’s memory can be made to The Cancer Society or Trinity Life Church. A private family burial service will be held on Friday May 14. He will be greatly missed by everyone.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Funeral Services, Ridgeway, Ontario.
