Obituary of Brian Douglas Logsdail

Logsdail Brian Douglas,  - passed away peacefully in his home on January 30, 2021 surrounded by his family, at the age of 64.

Brian was born in Kingston to Hugh and Irene and was the third of five children. He spent his teenage years in Kemptville where he also apprenticed as a butcher. Brian moved to Crystal Beach in the 1970s, where he presided over the Roller Rink and Hot Dog Alley and made life-long friends.  Brian met his future wife Cindy, then the deli girl, in 1978 while working at Barne’s Brothers in Fort Erie. Brian had a few jobs over the years and entertained many as the DJ at their weddings and special events, but he loved being a butcher and was a master at it, most recently at Your Farm Gate in Ridgeway. Brian was an active member of Trinity Life Brethren in Christ Church.

Loving husband and friend to Cindy. Brian is survived by his sister Barb (Mark) and brother Dave (Diane) and predeceased by siblings Beverly and Bob. Father to Melanie, Jennifer and Andrew and grandfather to Eli. Brian will be sadly missed by many, especially Shirley, Aly and Edd.

A special thank you to neighbours, family and friends who have helped us through this time of sadness and to Dr. Scher and Barbara for their excellent care.

Brian loved giving the “50 Cent” tour of his adoptive hometown; donations in his memory may be made to the Crystal Beach Beautification Committee by sending an email to Crystalbeachbeautification@gmail.com.

“Barrah.”
