A loving, dedicated, hardworking man with a strong will to live and to be surrounded by his family.
He was born and raised in Ridgeway, oldest of ten children, building his home in Crystal Beach where he lived until moving to Garrison Place 2 ½ years ago. He worked at INCO for 25 years. He was a “Jack of all trades and master of none.”
Roy loved most; fishing up north with his family, hunting, and playing cards. He developed his talent as an artist in later years and shared his works with family and friends.
He will be remembered as a mentor, artist, and storyteller. He meant the WORLD to his family and will be so greatly missed. He was a kind, gentle soul who had charm and a quick wit.
P.S.O. Daddyo!
Roy and his family send a special thank you to Dr. Scher and the palliative care staff for their compassionate care and Sarah McPhee and the staff of Garrison Place for their care and providing a welcoming home.
Williams Funeral Services, Ridgeway entrusted with arrangements. As requested cremation will take place and a private family mass (due to COVID restrictions). A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
In memory of Roy, those who wish, may donate to the charity of one's choice.
We ask that you please pass on an act of kindness.
