Hi, Philip, Jennifer and families.
I just now learned of your father's passing while reading the obituary for your uncle Howard. A wonderful tribute to him, Jennifer. We were neighbours on Ridge Road all the while you kids were growing up. Your Mom and Dad were excellent neighbours and friends. I hope life is treating both of you well. Stop by when you are in the area.

Deepest Heartfelt Sympathy to all of Jerrys family.
Growing up with cousin Jerry, there were so many happy memories being in his home along with Uncle Art and Aunt Ellen.
There were so many stories and jokes to tell.
Along with his beautiful wife Helen, they made such an adorable couple. They both did such memorable work for others.
Jerry and Helen will both be missed my many.
An honor to call them our cousins. May they rest together in Gods Peace.

Jerry (JR) was a 'man for all seasons' as others have stated already -- a member of Stevensville men's baseball team in the 1960's, making evening skiing trips with Jen to Kissing Bridge resort, a family camper holidaying at Deer Lake, Sundridge, a keen golfer at various courses in the Niagara Region, a school trip chaperone to Europe, and an enthusiastic spectator at various indoor and outdoor sports events supporting Philip and Jen, and later the grand children. Jerry was dedicated to his working careers and his family. He and Helen were a constant and supportive couple to each other in their home life, church life, and community projects. Both enjoyed flower gardening and wildlife viewing. Jerry always had his binoculars at hand, and showed keen curiosity in neighbourhood goings-on. They travelled within Canada and the US enjoying the driving experience, and sightseeing off the main roads. Each supported the other through their lifetimes. A great testimony to all.
Personally I can testify that I benefited from, and am very thankful for, Jerry and Helen's love and generosity. I look forward to our happy celestial reunion. God gave Jerry a long and productive life here with us.

Jerry was born and raised in Stevensville, Ontario and proud of it. He married the love of his life Helen Vincent in September 1964 where they built their first family home on "The Ridge" for them and their two children Phillip and Jennifer to enjoy for a number of years. He worked and became Superintendent of Ridgemount Quarries were he was employed for over 34 years. After retiring he moved to his dream location in Black Creek- where he spent his days fishing and watching the beautiful water flow by. Dad always had a laugh to share and had a laugh like no other. He was always jovial, LOUD and everyone knew when "JER" entered the room.
Dad was an extremely proud Papa of Madison, Carter And Tanner. He loved spending hours watching Tanner and Carter play hockey or watching at the ball diamond. He also beamed with pride watching his best buddy Madison at her annual dance recitals and in the last few years at Cheer Competitions. He was called Papa by all their teammates and friends. Dad was always on the go and involved in so many groups. He was part of the Kinsmen Annual Kin Camp Jamboree, Turkey Suppers and Dinner Dances. He was a Lifetime member of the Stevensville Kinsmen Club, a member of the Fort Erie Senior Men's "OLD FARTS" Golf League and he was an active member and strongly involved on many committees over the years at the Faith Reform Church in Black Creek. He proudly joined the Masonic Dominion Lodge in April 1979 as a Mason, where he served as Worshipful Master in 1993, 1995 and 2002. In addition he held the office of Lodge Secretary and Secretary of the Building Corporation for several years. Jerry and Helen loved to winter in Venice Florida where he would spend his days going to the gulf to hunt for shark teeth and seashells. He continued the tradition even after Helen's passing. He loved to duck hunt, golf and snowmobile with his buddies. He had so many treasured friendships that included years of "adventures" and daily morning coffee at the Timmy's.
Dad is already so deeply missed by all of us. Knowing that he is in heaven with Mom as well as all the friends and family that have been waiting for him gives us great comfort.
We love you Dad/Papa - Thank you for being one fabulous guy !
Hey! Smile ... that’s better

Jerry was like a Brother to me. I remember first seeing Jerry pick up my eldest sister Helen when I was around 6 yrs old. I was sitting on the porch steps and Jerry gave me a friendly cuff behind the head and said some joke to me with the laugh that only Jerry had. Jerry never changed since that evening over 60 years ago. He could have used a few pointers as a baseball coach but we had tons of laughs. Going to miss you my friend!! Pete (& Barb)
