Anneke and I would like to extend our sincere condolences to Claire and the family.I seemed on each of our furloughs from Africa that we had one or more good visits with Ed and Claire, and these were greatly enjoyed, by us and the Suggitts who often set up the visit.
May God give you strength for the future, Claire.
Sincerely,
Clint and Anneke Newman

I worked at Bell Canada with Ed for many years. It was always a pleasure to work with Ed, he was a true gentleman and friend. When I retired we moved to Fort Erie and I saw Ed frequently and we had many a good chat. I will surely miss him. My sincerest condolences to Claire and his other Family members. He was a truly good and loving person.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Claire, Trevor, Ross and families in this time of their loss.
I have very fond memories as a young boy of visiting the Climenhage home. They were always fun filled events and we thoroughly enjoyed our times with our cousins, Trevor, Edward and Ross.

Our condolences to Claire and the family at this time loss. We appreciated contact with Ed and Claire whenever our paths crossed over the past decades - most recently at a crokinole party with the Bertie Congregation in November of 2019. Ed and Claire have been life-long staunch supporters of their church family. Ed always had a welcoming smile to greet those around him. The family continues to be in our thoughts and prayers.

Edward was 1 of 11 first cousins on his mother Helen’s side . Although we didn’t see each other much growing up, we always regarded our Henderson cousins as special. From a family of three girls, and as a sports kid, I had a childhood fantasy of heading to the Niagara area to play pond hockey with the Climenhage boys .
Then as older adults, we cousins saw each other more frequently at birthday gatherings for the two surviving Henderson sisters Blanche and Ruth who welcomed all of our support as they settled into Parkview Village.
Our last cousin get-together was a lunch in May 2017 where we shared many memories and had a lot of laughs. Edward was one funny guy.
Our thoughts and prayers to Claire,Trevor, Ross, and their families.

Eddie always would have something interesting to say like this that I read this morning:
"Those who died yesterday had plans for this morning.
And those who died this morning had plans for tonight,
Don't take life for granted. In the blink of an eye, everything can change.
So, forgive often and love with a full heart.
You never know when you may not have that chance again."
