Hutton, Patricia M (Hicks) passed away at Douglas Memorial Hospital, on March 23, 2020 in her 90th year. Her devotion to her family and firm belief in God supported her in her struggles and ultimately gave her peace. Pat was predeceased by her loving husband,Ernie and is survived by her children, Terry (Christine), Gary (Chanzina) and Kathy (Bob) Stapleton; her grandchildren, Laura (Shannon)Hegan, Liam (Kim), Ryan (Hannah)Hutton; Tim (Kallie),Simon (Desiree),Roy, Stephen Hutton; Darryl (Andrea) Stapleton, Heather (Jeff) Davis and Melanie Stapleton as well as 9 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her six brothers and sisters and survived by her brother Denis (Betty) Hicks as well as many other nieces and nephews in Canada and New Zealand. Pat was born in New Zealand where she met the love of her life, Ernie. Shortly after the birth of their first child they moved to Fort Erie, Ontario where most of Ernie’s family resided. They built their own home on Catherine Street, where Pat showed her great love for her family and God. Pat was a member of First Baptist Church. When her children were grown she worked at the Old Fort for a period of time otherwise she was a stay at home mum where she kept busy sewing, knitting, upholstering, cooking, baking, cleaning and gardening. Her love, patience, kindness and wonderful smile have left each of us with great memories. She is dearly missed by all her family and friends who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her creator. Pat has been cremated and a Celebration of Life will follow at a later date.
