Obituary of Edna Mae McDermott

MCDERMOTT, Edna Mae (Moyes) – Passed away peacefully, in her 87th year, at Douglas Memorial Hospital, with family by her side. Predeceased by the love of her life, husband Ernest “Ernie” (1990) and by her brothers Jim, Mart, and Bert. She is survived by her daughters Patricia “Patti” (Rich), Elaine (Brian), Jennifer (Tim), and her special joy, her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Chantal, David; step grandchildren Andrea (Greg), Paul (Becky) and step-great- grandchildren Lauren, Leah and Kristopher. Also survived by her many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Dr. Che, the amazing nurses and staff at Douglas Memorial Hospital. Williams Funeral Services 722 Ridge Rd N. entrusted with funeral arrangements. The family will receive friends on Saturday January 5th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. followed by a celebration of her life in the chapel. Interment to follow at Ridgeway Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Douglas Memorial Hospital, Tender Wishes Foundation and the SPCA or All Saints Anglican Church, Ridgeway.
