Mrs Plato was make an everlasting impression on this young boy entering her classroom at Crystal Beach Public School back in 1977. I remember visiting her during recesses in my later grades offering to help with anything she needed done. Often I’d get to grade papers for her, but only so many because she had to save some for her daughter Sally. lol. I remember even after we moved to Stevensville, we had a class trip to the arena in ridgeway to skate. I skipped out and went to visit her. Pretty sure I got into trouble when I got back to the arena. Fond memories, regret not catching up with her later in life. My condolences. She was a special lady.

RoseAnn was a great friend ,was my bridesmaid in 19 60 and we went to Hamilton Teachers College together. We visited each other many times over the years and my kids played with RoseAnn's daughter,Sally..Even after RoseAnn was in the nursing home,her husband Ed came to visit us many times until awhile before his death..They both will be sadly missed by our family..RIP ,my friend, RoseAnn

I am saddened by the loss of one of my favourite teachers. Miss Baker taught me in kindergarten way back in the 1950's. but she left a mark on me and my life. I remember her teaching us counting, the alphabet and most of all music. We all loved the musical instruments and how she made it so much fun. I am so sorry for your loss.
