Obituary of Hilda MacLeod

MacLEOD, (nee White), Hilda Kathleen – passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018, just before her 96th birthday. Predeceased by her husband Keith “K.R.” MacLeod (1997). Hilda had lived a long and happy life. Her and her husband were dairy farmers for their long fruitful life before her sons took over the farm in 1977. She enjoyed her retirement, actively being involved in Beachcombers Seniors Centre for over 25 years. She is survived by her sons Keith (Mary-Lou) of Stevensville, Paul (Ellen) of Embryo, Ron (Sherry) of Cobden, Dale (Joann) of Stevensville and 13 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren and her sisters Myrtie Montgomery and Gertie Federow and sisters-in-law Kay White, Betty White, Carole MacLeod and Florence MacLeod. Predeceased by her sister Hazel Cardwell (Melvin), brothers George White, Charles White (Ruth) and Arthur “Art” White, brothers-in-law Robert Montgomery and Bruno Federow, aunt Marg Hipwell who was her travelling partner, sisters-in-law Doris Yungblut (Russell), Katherine MacLeod and Nora Ellis (Bill) and brothers-in-law Bruce MacLeod, Malcolm MacLeod and Richard “Dick” MacLeod (Margaret). Thank You to all her friends at the Beachcombers; Sheila Jones, Irene Berry, Mary Franks and Pam Baker, who visited her and made sure she still felt part of their family.
