Obituary of Ruth M. Rigsby
Rigsby, Ruth M. (nee Nelson)
Passed away peacefully in her 92nd year at Douglas Memorial Hospital, Ft. Erie January 8th, 2018.
Ruth is predeceased by her husband James (married for 67 years), her sister Shirley Hiller, Brother in Law Robert Hiller and Brother Fred Nelson.
Ruth is survived by her son Terry (Judy), her daughter Vicki Lynn, her grandchildren Kristine (Ryan) Beck, James (Sondra Locke) Rigsby, and her great grandchildren Khloe and Conner Beck.
Ruth’s first job was in a factory, where she met her husband to be. Ruth also took Red Cross training so she could help the war effort at that time.
After the war was over and James came home from the Navy they were married. Ruth was 18. Her husband became quite the entrepreneur and Ruth worked along side him everyday in every venture he took on. She raised 2 children and even found time to join Girl Guides of Canada and was a member for 50 years, enjoying every minute of it and holding many positions like Guider, District Commissioner, Division Commissioner, and President of the Trefoil Guild.
Throughout her busy life she loved to spend time with family and pets.
She will be sorely missed by all who knew her, because of her sense of humor, feistiness, hard work and the love that she showed friends and family.

Celebration of life will be held at All Saints Anglican Church in Ridgeway on January 19, 2018. Visitation with the family at 11 am.,will be followed by a funeral service at 12 and then a reception.
