Obituary of Kathlynn (Kay) Burgess

Burgess (Cornwell), Kathlynn (Kay) Mary (nee Teal) It is with sadness that the family of Kay Burgess announces her passing after a brief illness, on December 8, 2017 at the age of 83 in London ON. Kay will be lovingly remembered by her children LeeAnne Kelly and Dianne (Mark) Ferris and her Grandchildren Maegan, Garret, Collin and Valerie and her great-Grandson Logan. Also, by her Niece Sandra (Harry) Holloway and Nephew Jim Johns (Carol) and their families. Kay was predeceased by Sister Mabel and Brother Coney. Kay, together with her husband, raised her two Daughters in Powassan, ON where she owned and operated several successful businesses. Later, she followed her family and moved to London, ON where she worked for the Canadian Revenue Agency until she retired. She was an extremely talented seamstress and knitter who sewed many an outfit and knit many a sweater for her Daughters and four Grandchildren. Deepest gratitude to Dr. John Haddad and the staff at University Hospital in London for their kind support and care. A graveside ceremony for immediate family members will be held at the family plot at the Old Ridgeway Memorial Cemetery.
