Obituary of Mary Esther Thomas

THOMAS, MARY ESTHER (nee Anthony): March 31st,1939 - October 13th, 2017. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and grand-mother Mary in her 79th year, after a courageous battle with cancer. With family by her side she peacefully entered the presence of the Lord. She will be greatly missed by her husband and soul-mate of over 60 years, Ken. She is survived by her children Laina (Jeff) Frayne, Scherri (Keith) Teal, Donald (Darlene) Thomas, daughter-in-law Donna Thomas, grandchildren, Lynn (Marlon), Lesley (Mike), Ken (Sue), Robbie (Melanie), Megan (Aron), Nancy, Bobby (Debra), Spencer, Dillon, Angel, and Amber. She will also be sadly missed by her sister, Jean (Charlie), brother Ed, brother-in-law Orlin (Yvonne), 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. Predeceased by her son Kenneth(KJ), parents John and Marjorie, brothers John, Jim, Bobby and sister Lois. A very special thanks to the nursing staff at Welland Hospital, Donna, Dr. Muir, and Dr. Aleksiejuk, Saint. Elizabeth’s Palliative home care team along with Dr. Scher. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. WILLIAMS FUNERAL SERVICES, entrusted with arrangements. Viewing will be from 5-8 on October 15th, 2017, a private celebration of life will take place.
