Obituary of Marie Ellen Kathleen Girdlestone

GIRDLESTONE, Marie Ellen Kathleen (nee Donnelly) On Sunday, October 30th, 2016 Marie passed away peacefully at Gilmore Lodge at the age of 91. Predeceased by her first husband Aubrey Burnett, and second husband Frank Girdlestone, Q.C. Loving mother of James (Martha) Burnett, Stephen (Charlene) Burnett, and Christopher (Penny) Burnett, step children Judy (Rick) Medley and John (Nancy) Girdlestone. Cherished Nana of Dan, Justin, Katie (Matt), Chelsea, Tim, Sean and Alexander and step grandchildren Adam, Jeff and Stuart. Lovingly remembered by great grandchildren Aubrie Ann and Elliana. Marie is predeceased by her parents James and Jean Donnelly and brothers Frank and James. She is sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Williams Funeral Services, 722 Ridge Road North, Ridgeway entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, November 1st between 5 and 8 pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. George’s Catholic Church, Crystal Beach on Wednesday, November 2nd at 11 am followed by burial at Ridgeway Memorial cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Fort Erie SPCA would be appreciated by the family.
