Obituary of Earl Thomas Lanchester

Passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on October 12, 2016 at Welland General Hospital at the young age of 89. Pre-deceased by Wilda, his loving and devoted wife of over 60 years. Dear father of Tom & Linda. He will be fondly remembered by Gerry, Rick and many loving friends from both sides of the border. Adored and loving grandfather of Stephanie (Jamall), Melanie, Thomas, Travis, and great-grandfather of Isiah. Earl was a man of many talents. In his earlier years he was an accomplished trumpet player with his own 18-piece band. He then initiated a successful career in silk screening. Earl was a very well respected owner and trainer of thoroughbred race horses, enjoying many wonderful years of racing at various U.S. and Canadian tracks. His affection for horses was second-to-none. Williams Funeral Services, Ridgeway entrusted with arrangements. In accordance with Earl’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Hurricane Earl & Twisting Wilda will forever be dancing in the stars.
