Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Christie

Christie, Elizabeth Ann Elizabeth Christie, known to friends and family as Betty, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on October 2nd, 2016 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. She was preceded by her parents Clyde and Ann Shisler and is survived by her loving husband Rodney, brother Bruce Shisler, sister Lynne Shisler-New, daughters Darah (Lance) and Elizabeth, grandchildren Violet and Charlie. Fondly remembered by friends and family for her sense of humor and strength of personality. She is loved and will be missed greatly by all, and the special bond between Nama and Violet will be forever cherished. A tremendous amount of gratitude goes to Lynne, who generously took a leave of absence from her career to provide much needed support and care for her sister. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Che for his outstanding care and compassion. Williams Funeral Services, Ridgeway entrusted with arrangements. A celebration of life will be held at the Fort Erie Conservation Club on Saturday November 5th, 2016 from 1pm to 4pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wellspring Niagara Cancer Support Centre.
