Obituary of Miriam Mabel Smith

SMITH, Miriam Mabel – On Tuesday June 28th, 2016, Miriam peacefully passed away, with her family by her side, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital at the age of 93. Predeceased by her loving husband Robert Douglas (1983). Dear mother of Joan (Ron) Horton and Margaret (Herb) Maracle. Cherished Gram to Ronald Douglas (Tammy) and Andrew Scott (Pauline). Great-Gram to Lyndsay, Ashley, Petra and Alexander. Predeceased by siblings Jack, Helen, Melvin (Dee), Betty, Peter, Donald and Diane. Miriam will be sadly missed by several nephews and nieces. A special thank you to Dr. Che, the nursing home staff at Crescent Park Lodge, the nursing staff at GNGH, especially Cathy M. Cathy was our comforting angel and helped mom go home to be with dad. Williams Funeral Services 722 Ridge Rd N. Ridgeway entrusted with arrangements. A graveside service will be held at Ridgeway Memorial Cemetery, Ridgeway, on Friday July 8th, 2016 at 3:30 in the afternoon. In memory of Miriam those who wish may donate to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Asthma Society of Canada.
