Obituary of John Robert Brooks Sr.

BROOKS, John Robert Sr. Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at Welland County General Hospital on Saturday March 19, 2016 in his 77th year. He is now reunited with the love of his life Carole Brooks, loving daughter Debra Gregg and son in law Roger Hill. Also predeceased by his parents Alfred and Bessie Brooks, mother and father in law Fredrick and Olive Lambert, brothers Jim, Alfie and Tom. Also sisters Violet and Edith. Much loved father of John (Melanie), Beth, Bonnie (Joe), Tammy (Carl), Bill (Tammy), Patty (George) and Melisa (David). Sadly missed by 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Remembered always by his brothers, sisters and many nieces and nephews. Williams Funeral Services 722 Ridge Rd. North, Ridgeway have been entrusted with arrangements. John’s family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday March 23th, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate his life will be held in the chapel on Thursday March 24th, 2016 at 11 o’clock. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may remember John by making donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
