Obituary of Richard Barry Kenworthy

KENWORTHY, Richard Barry (March 14, 1945-December 12, 2015) – It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rick. Survived by his best friend and love of his life Patti. Beloved stepfather of Jason O’Shaughnessy, Ryan O’Shaughnessy and Megan. Also survived by his sister Francis (Lewis) Brown, brother Roger (Tui) Kenworthy, his cousin Ian Kenworthy and sons David Kenworthy and Lucas Woods (Kylie). He had many nieces and nephews with Nathan being like a son to him. He was an avid car enthusiast and had a great love of animals and nature. He fought his battle with cancer with dignity and perseverance. There will be a big void in our lives but we will find comfort in knowing he is watching over us from above. Special thanks to our family and friends especially my brother Darrel (Denise) for all their love and support. Thank you to our homecare nurses Alex and Pat and all the nurses at Douglas Memorial Hospital. A very special thank you to Dr. Scher for your compassion and care. You made Rick feel comfortable and I deeply appreciate that. I know there is a heaven and you are dancing with the Angels but, make sure you save the last dance for me. Until we meet again. Arrangements entrusted to Williams Funeral Services 722 Ridge Rd. North, Ridgeway. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held.
